🛠️ Troubleshooting
Clipboard read is blocked
Chrome and individual websites can block clipboard access in embedded frames, browser-owned pages, private pages, or pages with restrictive permissions policies. Try opening Total Recall Clipboard in a full tab, then use Save clipboard again. If Chrome asks for clipboard permission, allow it for clipboard features.
Copy buttons are not working
Some pages block rich clipboard writes. Total Recall Clipboard attempts a plain-text fallback where possible. If copying still fails, open the extension in a full tab and allow clipboard write permission when Chrome prompts.
Images are not saving from a website
Some websites block image access, use lazy-loaded image URLs, or restrict cross-origin image data. Try right-clicking the image and using the Total Recall sidebar review. If the site blocks right-click, enable Forced right-click from the toolbar or Settings page.
Right-click does not appear on a site
Some websites disable or override the browser context menu. Total Recall Clipboard includes an optional forced right-click image prompt to help on many of these sites. This cannot guarantee support on every website because Chrome and site security rules still apply.
Auto-save creates duplicate items
Total Recall Clipboard includes duplicate detection and ignores copies made from inside Total Recall itself. If duplicates still appear, open Settings and review duplicate detection, site rules, content type settings, and minimum text length.
Saved items disappeared after reinstalling
Chrome can remove extension storage when an extension is uninstalled. Download a JSON backup before uninstalling or changing browser profiles. Restore saved content by using the Restore button and selecting a Total Recall Clipboard backup file.
